Green Hill and Synthia Massey

Green Hill was born in 1785 in Wake County, NC.  He died after 1860 in Gibson, Tennessee.  He married Synthia Massey who was born around 1800 in North Carolina and died after 1860 in Gibson, Tennessee.  They were married on January 30, 1817 in Wake County, NC.

I have conversed with descendants of this Green Hill family and there was a Mark H. Hill born to them in Wake County as well as other children.  Mark Hill remained in Wake County and married Martha E. King on May 29, 1839 in Wake County. He does not show up on the 1860 census or anywhere else, so we assume that he died before 1860.

We do not know the timeframe of when Green Hill left Wake County, but eventually he did move to Gibson, Tennessee.  While both Green and Synthia Hill show up on the 1860 census of Gibson, Tennessee, they have not been found anywhere in the 1850 census using various spellings for Synthia as the easiest means of locating the family.

This Green Hill family is NOT the Green Hill who witnessed the Sion Hill and Starage Lee marriage in Johnston County. There seems to be no relationship or connections to Sion and Starage Hill in this Green Hill family.
